The 1st Annual AMERICAN SPORTS CAMP was a smashing success. Designed as a 4-day recruitment camp for Norwegian youths (ages 12-17), the event featured American Football, Cheerleading, Basketball and, yes, Baseball! The 60 youths signed up for one of these 4 sports as their primary activity, but each participant also got instruction in the other 3 sports.
Initially, Baseball could lay claim to only 8 signees, but our sport proved VERY popular once the other participants got to try it. Our numbers grew each day with converts from the other activities, and the beginners’ games we organized for the uninitiated were the hit of each afternoon.

Rommen, Oslo
This game was the most dramatic, nerve-wracking and exciting game of the season as Bekkestua were leading the whole game until Big Rob stepped up to the plate in the top of the 9th inning with one out and bases loaded.
Big Rob who batted for the first time in his Pretender career as the clean up hitter, answered in the most dramatic fashion with a game winning Grand Slam in the top of the 9th inning to secure the 10th win in a row for the Pretenders as they won 12-11 over Bekkestua.

The Generation P are showing fast progress. We have never had so many young prospects as we do now. Every Wednesday young, future baseball stars show up to practice and get better. Thanks to the Practice Minister and his excellent coaching one youngster will be following Emil Fjellvang (Bekkesuttra) to the MLB Europe Academy try-out. "I think he will be the first-ever Norwegian in the MLB," the Practice Minister says. Never has anyone showed such amazing skills at such an early age. Bekkestua think they have one young star. Our star is younger, and even better. His name is:
